GNSS REGIONAL:

Pro Open and Pro Stock Champion - Josh Kuklinski #133

Stock 120 - 3rd Place - Abigale Kuklinski #171, 6th 120 Champ

AMSOIL NATIONAL SNOCROSS SERIES

Semi-Pro Open - Josh #133 16th of 35 racers - running 3/9 races

Semi-Pro Stock - Josh #133 37th of 64 racers - running 3/9 races

120 Champ Class - Abbie #171 14th of 32 racers - running 2/6 races

8-12 Transition Class - Kevin #121 9ths of r46 acers - running only 2/6 racers

Lake Geneva had challenging conditions, but the racers were out pounding the track and Kevin grabbed the mic to announce affiliate races.  The above results show the team's success.  At the end of the day sharing our end of season family meal, Abbie informed Grandpa and Grandma ... only 264 dsays to prepare the trailer for next season!

Racing is done in the first day at Lake Geneva.  Abbie #171 and Josh #133 ran heats and finals for the affiliate races.  Abbie took 6th and Josh 7th.  Overall our GNSS circuit was well represented on the track. Let's hope the track snow holds out, pretty narly in spots today!

GNSS Regional Circuit finals were March 13 and 14.  Both rounds were actually run on Saturday because of the summer weather.  It was a good call as the derby track had a moat around it on Sunday.  The team finished with both Josh #133 and Abbie #171 going to the Nationals as affiliate riders.  Affiliate riders are the top three in regional classes that race together with the other regional top riders.  Josh will be racing Pro Open and Abbie her Stock 120.

JOSH is the GNSS PRO OPEN and PRO STOCK CHAMPION!

ABBIE is 3rd PLACE IN STOCK 120 and 6th PLACE in 120 CHAMP CLASS!

Ella was in Eagle River excited with all the "Bo Bo's" ... she loves the vroom of the snowmobiles and already reaches for the throttle!  Possibly the future of High-Octane Racing.  Kevin continued his announcing career taking the mic and keeping the crowd going most of the day.  Of course Scotty B pumped him full of NOS Energy drink.  Watch out Colorado Rob.

We ended a fantastic regional season with a banquet full of laughs, trophies and motivation for the 2010-11 season.

Friday the 19th of March we wrap up the entire race season at the Lake Geneva Grand Finale!  Three days of racing excitement and close to home!  We welcome our fans to come and enjoy.

Heading to Eagle River end of the month of February, for a GNSS double header - watch for updates.

This Valentine weekend was Weyauwega under the lights...  Something new with racing going late into the night.  Our racers were in great form.  With only a few pro riders Josh #133 ran heats and finals with semi-pro racers.  Josh and the other pros had a delayed start but ran in the midst of the semi-pro mayhem.  He scored first in the final on his stock; he took a lap in the final on the open final as the other sled blew his engine before the race. Josh's sled suffered damage too, but at least he could take the green.  Work to be done before the next races! Abbie #171 hit the track and went full throttle into a 2nd in her stock final and 4th in the Champ final.  Dad's tuning in that sled so that pink sled does more than look pretty.  Kevin #121 continues to support the team, and his buddies, giving words of encouragement in the pits.  Race day is great - on and off the track.

Thank you Mother Nature for a fresh dump of snow that will lay on top of the Weyauwega track.  We're looking forward to this weekend's race that is supposed to be a great event!  The team goes into this race in great points position.  Josh #133 leads the Pro Stock and Pro Open GNSS class.  It was a fun track at the Pit Stop in Kaukauna.  Abbie #171 is still 3rd in the 120 class, and climbed into the 6th position on the Champ!  We were all happy that Kevin #121 came to support the team in Kaukauna!  He watched intently as 550s and 300s hit the track ... he was like a puppy that couldn't get a bone ... anxiously waiting for when he can get back on the sled!  Seriously, his recovery is going well and for that we are most thankful.

Heading home from the 47th running of the Eagle River World Championship Derby!  What a fantastic weekend.  The derby is typically the frozen tundra and we enjoyed weather in the high 20s and sunshine.  Josh #133 was the only member of the team represented this year.  We should see Abbie back in action in Kaukauna, and hopefully Kevin is well enough to travel and cheer on the team.  Thanks to all of our racing family and friends for the many well wishes for Kevin.  We are thankful  for this side of racing ~ friendship ~ as much as the sport itself.

This was a regional for GNSS so Josh was racing in the Pro class, and lined up with Malinowski, Turcotte and Johnstadt ... very exciting.  Josh was at the top of his game!  He qualified for the finals in all classes, including the exciting Pro Carlisle Friday Night Thunder.  Unofficial results are Josh in 1oth place in the Pro Stock Final on Sunday.  Unfortunately the scissor suspension let loose during the Pro Open final while landing over the table top into his 4th lap on the mod, so he had to settle for watching his final on the side of the track.  That means there is work to do before we hit the track in Kaukauna at the end of the month.

Watch for some new pics as I try to upload this week.  Look for Ella getting comfortable on the infamous Pink Tink 120 stocker calling for cousin Abbie!!!

The first GNSS regional in Plymouth was bittersweet.  Josh #133 and Abbie #171 had good runs.  Abbie finished second on the stock 120 and is still reving and riding that Champ sled.  Josh's first appearance on the regional Pro level brought in a sixth place in stock and fourteen in the mod.  The snocross and ice oval races made for an interesting race day.

It was a rough day for Kevin #121.  Durig practice on the 550 he took a nasty digger in the woops.  It knocked the wind out of him, but we originally thought he would be okay.  Even with pain he did his first heats, but then was done.  Good thing he knew the pain was too much.  Sunday he was in the ER and admitted in the afternoon.  A CT scan revealed a laceration to his spleen and two small ones on his left kidney.  Good news is he should heal with no surgery!  He's down and out for the week, and it will be a slow recovery.  Snocross appears to be unlikely for this season, but we are all happy that Kevin will recover.

High-Octane is a family team and we are all in this together!

Duluth and Milwaukee Mile - two Nationals already complete in the 2009-2010 sno-x season!

Abbie #171 is mixing snow and pixie dust running the legendary Champ sled!  She's learning the tricks of the track!

Kevin #121 is racing hard and it shows!  Running both the 300 and the 550 he's really getting seat time ... QUALITY seat time.  With family and friends to cheer him on he finished first in his heats on the 300 and stood proud ON THE TOP OF THE PODIUM in the final .  See the ISOC announcement!  http://www.isocracing.com/NewsDetail.aspx?ID=214

Josh #133 is stepping up the competition level ... racing semi-pro at the Nationals and pro at the regional level.  He's tuning that open and stock sled to hit the jumps and whoops riding hard.  He qualified for the final in the open in both Duluth and Milwaukee Mile.

The team is looking forward to the first GNSS regional January 9th at Plymouth.

Duluth ... the annual "Grand Opening" of snocross is less than 30 days away!

The shop is humming with activity as the sleds are getting tuned and shined for the 2009-2010 season.  The racers are preparing as they set the bar high last season.  We're going into the season with momentum and look for high performance from High-Octane!

Lake Geneva National Grand Finale of the National circuit is this weekend March 20-22nd.  High-Octane Racing will be there!

Season Finale of the GNSS SnoX series was a double-header in Eagle River.  The sun was bright and the High-Octane sleds were hot.  The year ended on a high note and the racers held fantastic positions.

Josh # 133 Semi-Pro Open 1st  Place ... Semi-Pro Stock 2nd Place

Kevin #121 300 Transition 1st Place ... 550 Fan 2nd Place

Abbie #171 120 Stock 1st Place ... 120 Champ 4th Place

01/31/09 We're at the half-way point of the season and the team is smokin!  We are all pleased with the great job in the Great Northern SnoX Series!  The circuit is in its first year and really a great group dedicated to those who love snoX racing, and a little frustrated with ISOC regionals.  The tream has participated and done well at ISOC National races in Duluth, Ironwood, and this year the "boyz" went to Shakopee.  It was a great venue and they all made the finals!  We're looking forward to Hayward and Lake Geneva.

As for the regional circuit, here's where we stand:

      Josh - Semi-pro Stock 204 points - running 2nd   Semi-pro Mod 197 points - running 1st

      Kevin - 550 fan 240 points - running 2nd       300 Freestyle 300 points - running 1st

      Abbie - 120 Champ 131 points - running 5th     120 Stock 270 points - running 1st

We all braved the sub-zero temperatures at the Eagle River World Championship Derby, but no matter the temperature, we would never miss that event.  This year Abbie rode the Champ under the lights during Friday Night Thunder!  Again, everyone made the finals in their classes, and Kevin proudly took the checkered flag around the track riding his 300!

11/25/08 Let's Go Racing!  The team will be traveling to Duluth, MN for the Amsoil Duluth National.  The team is excited to face this year's challenge.  Josh (#133) will be banking the corners and hitting the jumps on his 2009 Polaris 600 IQ Race Sled.  Kevin will be vying the holeshot again this year on his Ski-Doo 300 Freestyle.  #121 (Kevin) will also be tackling the woops and looking to conquer the coarse with his 550 Fan.  Abbie is getting serious ... you'll see #171 taking the bars of the 120 Champ Sled this year in addition to her stock.  Good luck racers ~ Be Tough ... Be Safe !!!

9/5/08 The "unofficial" start of race season, Hay Days.  The annual trek to Forest Lake, MN is the largest snowmobiile swap meet - and a great time.  The team is headed up with friends to see the unveiling of the new sleds and catch up with the racing crowd.

7/25/08 The team was blessed with our newest member. Ella Kathleen Kuklinski was born today.  Ella, her daddy Josh (#133) and mom Breanne are doing good!  Cousins Kevin (#121) and Abbie (#171) can't wait to get her on a 120!

Another great season has passed.  All three racers did a spectacular job this season.  Now as we wind down the past season, we have much to do in order to store the sleds and equipment for the summer.  Before we do that, we will be thanking the Hartland Quik Lube for another generous year of support.  Please join us if you can.

There will be changes that come to the sleds the team races next year.  Our team will consist of both Polaris and Ski-Doo.

We also continue to work hard on gathering sponsor's for next race season.

As mentioned before, we continue to find a more efficient way to post the pictures.  If you would like to have a link emailed to you, to view all pictures, please email the team to have your email address added.

Everyone looks forward to the 2008 - 2009 race season.  We hope that you can again join us next year.

Sad day today, as we have lost a member of our extended race family.  Andy Kieper, 22, of Kieper Pinned Racing passed away yesterday.  Andy, and his family will be kept in our thoughts and prayers.

We're up and set for the first race of the year.  The trailer is parked, and we're beginning to settle down for the night.

Of course, the trailer parking didn't go without issues.  We arrive at Spirit Mountain to find that the pits are completely parked.  No room!  A chain in the way is no block for this team.  A quick move of the chain and we're parked.

Now we sit and wait until morning.  The boys will get an early start.  The first driver's meeting of the year will be at 7:00.

Let the fun begin!!!!

It's Almost Time!!
The season is almost here.  Things are finishing quickly.  Everyone's sled is set for the first race, the trailer is ready, and we're working on getting packed.  It seems like just yesterday we were packing up the trailer one last time for the 2006 - 2007 season.

This season brings many new things.  Josh will be riding on a new 2008 Polaris IQ 600, and has turned his 2007 Polaris IQ 440 from last year into a mod.

Kevin will be riding his 2006 Ski - Doo Freestyle as well as his Polaris 120 Champ.

Abbie will be riding her new 2008 Pink Polaris 120.

In addition, the team has a new 44 ft. Goose-Neck trailer.  This adds more work space as well as a more comfortable living quarters.

As we begin our season, please continue to watch for updates after each race.  Thanks for your support!!  We hope to see you at the races!!
